Rebecca Black Atlanta Concert reviews
Great show... but my ears are still ringing
Dec. 8, we attended the show at Arco Arena in Sacramento. MachineHead was *different* ... I didn't care for it because all I heard was the drum overwhelming the singer trying to scream over the drums. The opening acts were OK, but Volpe was enjoyable to listen to and watch perform with understandable lyrics and their sound played clear, especially with the lead singer's voice carrying well over the venue. We had lower level seats, row H, with a great view of the stage. The big show was great, the props were top-notch, quite the experience. Then came the sound check for Rebecca Black, to which we noticed people around us wearing full head-covering headsets and/or earplugs. I would recommend anybody going to an indoor Rebecca Black event to grab a pair of earplugs - if you don't need them, great - if you do, you'll have them and not have days of damaged eardrums. They had a following present screaming and thrashing about, so at least they got their money's worth before going back to AA and the unemployment line the next day.
